In the hustle and bustle of New York's Last Fashion Week I didn't get a chance to blog about a few of the shows that I was invited to. And of course I brought my best friend my camera because I wanted to make sure all of my friends and fans got the chance to experience some of the events that I made it out to during fashion week.  One show in particular that I wanted to blog about but couldn't was Coco Austin's Launch Party for "Licious."

On Wednesday night September 5th 2012, E!’s Ice Loves Coco reality star Coco Austin–wife of cctor and hip hop artist Ice-T–launched her new apparel line ‘Licious’ at at XL Night Club in New York City.  The venue was most appropriate considering that Coco is always the life of the party, so no better place for a super stacked party girl to launch then at a super luxe night club. Well, you know how they say you can't trust everything you see on reality T.V?  That is the complete untruth when it  comes to Chef Roble & Co. because what you see is exactly what you get.  I got the opportunity to experience the, "Roble Effect" first hand and it was far more then I could have ever expected.

I like to consider myself a foodie.  I'm from the South and a big part of who we are being from the South revolves around food.  Food especially in family units with people of color is used to show each other just how much we care for one another.  I come from a background where if you truly love someone then the best thing you can do is slave over a hot stove and pour out all of your love into a southern style smorgasbord and let your loved one's have at it.

Good morning family although as of now fashion week has moved on over to Paris where designers are revealing their spring lines. I finally was able to steal away from the crazy hustle and bustle that is my life to talk a little on the beautiful collections that I got to check out during NYC's fall 2012 Fashion week.

One of the hottest presentations that I was able to check out was the Mataano fall 2012 collection.  I've always loved the look of clean plush clothing and thats exactly what you get from Mataano's fall line.

The talented young ladies Ayaan and Idyl managed to put together a collection that I feel is very wearable by todays modern woman.  I feel that this line speaks to the woman who may have a high power career but still understands fashion and embraces the softness and femininity of a woman in control.
